Will it Blend?



Anyone who has been around me and a computer lately has been forced to watch this immensely entertaining viral marketing from BlendTec, promoting their 4500 rpm blenders. I love these spots. They are totally unbelievable, totally entertaining, and great, great marketing.

I may never make an iPod smoothie, but I'd be really happy knowing I owned a blender that could do it. You know, if I wanted to.

I am Just Not That Cool, I Guess...


I do not understand why this show is awesome. It does not seem awesome. It does not make me laugh, yet on some level, I realize that must make it even more awesome than I can understand. Please enlighten me.

It is awesome because it is surreal and bizarre and awesome! It's a commentary on how power structures are often balanced in favor of those who least deserve that power, and c'mon, the dolphin boy is just plain ridiculous...

I will be spinning records at the Triangle Lounge in Fremont. Rock, Roll, Hip, Hop, and a few tracks of old school hair metal. And probably some Joan Jett.

It's Oktoberfest here in Fremont on Saturday, so I'll be starting at 8pm, and spinning until the lederhosen come off.
