Hope you're not a Seahawks fan, that was just a sad, sad game yesterday.

Not really. I've lived in a city that hosted a Super Bowl, but being a 30-year-old Vikings fan, I have never actually seen my team in a Super Bowl. It was really wild to see how Seattle reacted to having a team in the big game, but I didn't really feel a part of it because I'd ignored the Seahawks (and the NFL in general) all year. I watched the playoffs and it was fun to root for the Hawks, but I wasn't really too bummed when they lost in large part to extremely shitty officiating.

But poor Sean grew up here. I was watching the game over at his place and I think I caught him crying twice.

Baby.

By the way, I was going to give you shit about your icon, but when I looked at it I realized Bush was made up of dead Iraq War soldiers.

About the only thing as fitting would be a collage made out of Abu Gahrib photos.

Chilling.

This government makes my skin crawl.

Yeah one of my coworkers has a mosaic of Abraham Lincoln done with pictures of the Civil War. It's very cool but also sad because of the content of the individual pictures. Of course the Bush one is significantly less flattering (and sad) even though he tries to compare himself to Lincoln.

I know your pain as far as the Vikings are concerned, my mom's side of the family is from Minnesota and I picked up that little bit of angst from my grandfather. I am still upset about the '98 NFC championship.

It's a fitting tribute that a house across the lake from mine burned down in the closing minutes of that game.

I didn't remember that house fire bring during the super bowl. I do remember watching through binoculars and seeing a big ol' christmas tree burning away in the living room.

It wasn't during the Super Bowl, but during the NFC championship, the game two weeks before the Super Bowl.
