Too Busy to Think
We're about four days from handing off the 416-page Shackled City Adventure Path hardcover, which means I've been working 16-hour days for something like a month. I am tired and cranky and proud and surprised that we're actually going to pull this off and hit an absolutely brutal deadline, probably the most unrealistic in my career.
But Sean and James and I, we're good at unrealistic.
In any event, look for an explosion of posts on the other side of our handoff.
Until then, please enjoy this depressing story about Wal-Mart.

After my own look at the sex trade in the former Eastern Bloc countries Wal Mart doesn't look half bad in this. Sara Lee on the other hand.
And by the bye, good luck with the hardcover book! Here's hoping its success leads to a Dungeon adventure compilation.
*fingers crossed*
Is this going to be an ongoing thing? Hardcovers for the adventure paths?
We'll see. We'd like to keep doing them, but a lot will depend upon the reaction and sales.
Well, I can't wait for it. You've got one guaranteed sale, at least. :-)
As for Walmart...well, they treat American workers like crap, so it's not really a suprise that they enable some of the world's poorest nations to abuse their citizens.
You said it. Wal Mart is terrible, and should be wiped from the Earth.
Wal Mart is the altar of contemporary America. We are driven by consumerism.
You ever planning on doing an adventure (or campaign arc, even) on toppling the demonic WalMart empire? It's got all we need- slave labor (domestic, imported, and outsourced), influence in government, tons of resources, a shiny yellow smiling face for the masses, control over basic needs of the populace, desire to merge three evil dieties into one OverGod...
Wait. Is the head of the Walton family named Kyuss? :)
Love the Blog, Erik. don't die on us- Dungeon and Dragon need your august leadership. It's you and your staff that keep me renewing every year.
I read an article on Wal Mart recently that said they were all in a tizzy over having less 'affluent' customers than Target. so now they are going to be pushing trendier stuff to attract a higher tax bracket of shoppers i guess. rich people like to save money too i guess :P
